The 1964 Sandown 6 Hour International was an endurance race for saloon cars complying with FIA Group 1 regulations.〔Peter Bakalor, Alfa Triumphant, Modern Motor, February 1965, pages 34 to 37 & 96 to 97. Includes Results listing for all finishers with Class details.〕 and was the genesis of what is now known as the Sandown 500.
